What is nemuruca?
-
A design with no visible flame
This incense burner is truly “a gentle remedy for tired nights.” Its cover ompletely blocks the flame, allowing you to relax with full peace of mind. There is also no worry about ashes scattering in the wind.
-
Time You Can See
The burner is designed so the smoke flows gently to the side—visibly marking the passage of time. Let its drifting trail remind you how much calm remains, and take a moment to center yourself in the present.
-
Easy Ash Cleanup
Simply remove the cover and tip it over. Easy to clean.
-
Matte Texturing & Anodizing
This one-of-a-kind incense burner is finished with a beautiful, eco-conscious mat anodized coating. It’s a product that carries the positive spirit of Osaka’s craftsmen, who work with pride for the future.
-
Color1: Mei-shoku
This color name comes from an old Japanese word meaning “deep darkness” or “quiet night.” Appearing often in traditional indigo dyeing and in ancient Japanese poetry, this shade conveys a calmness that feels as if it sinks quietly into the depths of the heart.
-
Color2: Karasuba-iro
This is a uniquely Japanese shade of black, named after the color of a crow’s feather. In Japan, crows are seen as guardians and messengers. Inspired by this quiet, mystical presence, Karasuba-iro carries a sense of calm strength within its darkness.
Made in Higashi-Osaka, a city of craftsmanship.
-
Made in Osaka, Japan
nemuruca recreates the calm and relaxation of a Japanese ryokan in your own home—an incense burner designed specifically for sleep. Proudly crafted and delivered, entirely made in Japan.
-
Top-Quality Machined
Made with precision machining technology honed to meet strict 0.001 mm quality standards. A one-of-a-kind incense burner that brings the craftsmanship of skilled Japanese artisans into your everyday life.
-
Craft You Can Feel
We planned the machining process so that even the order of cuts looks beautiful. A light finish leaves subtle tool marks, intentionally showing the touch of craftsmanship.
-
Beautiful Surface
It may come as a surprise, but even with the same machine, the results can differ. Even if the dimensions are perfect, improper adjustments—even slight ones—can cause chips to damage the product itself.
-
Through Repeated Prototyping
To achieve the slim form and precise design not typically seen in industrial parts, we even created custom jigs specifically for this project, pursuing a beautifully precise fit with part.
-
Hand-Finished by Craftsmen
They fine-tune each piece to ensure a satisfying, seamless fit—taking even the final coating thickness into account.

I love it! It's great to be able to have incense burning and not have to worry about the ash going everywhere if there's a breeze, or one of our cats getting burnt if they go to close to it.
The craftsmanship is amazing, the finish is perfect! It's definitely something I'll be using for a long time.

I am so very happy that you were able to help me with my late payment. I'm really looking forward to drifting off to sleep later, and even more excited to gift the second one to my friend. :)
If you ever visit New Zealand, please let me know! I would be very happy to meet you or at least offer assistance for your journey.

Your commitment and integrity are exactly what platforms like Kickstarter are meant to foster: a genuine connection between people with an idea and those who wish to see it realized. You are a great example of that spirit.
I wish you and your team the very best of luck, and I sincerely hope you continue to make successful Kickstarter projects in the future.

I love pottery and meditation, and I was also drawn to the story behind the project, so I decided to back it. I’ve loved nemuruca so much that I’ve been using it every day since it arrived.
The way the incense is suspended horizontally is especially brilliant! Only a few millimeters remain where the incense is held, but it burns almost all the way through, and cleaning up the ash is incredibly easy. You should seriously patent this design!
